Independent Logistics and Supply Chain Management Recruiter – UAE (Hybrid/Flexible)

About the Role:

We are seeking an Independent Logistics and Supply Chain Management Recruiter to source, assess, and place highly skilled professionals within the logistics, transportation, and supply chain sectors across the UAE. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of freight forwarding, warehousing, procurement, fleet management, inventory control, and international trade regulations. Positions to be recruited include supply chain managers, logistics coordinators, warehouse supervisors, procurement specialists, freight specialists, and distribution center managers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research & Candidate Sourcing

  • Conduct in-depth market research for logistics and supply chain positions, analyzing hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and employment types (permanent, contract, and temporary).
  • Source highly qualified candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, industry-specific networking platforms, and professional referrals.
  • Build strong relationships with logistics providers, shipping companies, e-commerce firms, and manufacturing industries to expand the talent pipeline and stay updated on workforce demands.

2. Candidate Screening & Assessment

  • Initial Screening: Review CVs, professional certifications, work experience, and operational knowledge to shortlist candidates based on client requirements.
  • Technical & Management Interviews: Conduct in-depth interviews in collaboration with clients and industry experts to evaluate candidates’ expertise in supply chain optimization, logistics operations, procurement strategies, and warehouse management.
  • Skills & Certification Verification: Ensure candidates hold the necessary industry certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Logistics Associate (CLA), Six Sigma, PMP for supply chain projects).
  • Competency & Compliance Assessment: Evaluate candidates’ knowledge of fleet management, demand planning, transportation laws, cold chain logistics, and UAE customs regulations.

3. Client Collaboration

  • Partner with logistics companies, retail chains, e-commerce businesses, manufacturing firms, and freight forwarding companies to understand their specific staffing needs.
  • Provide industry insights on wage benchmarks, in-demand skills, and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Assist clients in creating job descriptions tailored to supply chain professionals and logistics specialists.

4. Interview Coordination & Feedback

  • Schedule and facilitate interviews between candidates and clients, managing all logistics and follow-ups.
  • Gather feedback from both candidates and clients post-interviews, offering constructive advice for improvement and assisting in decision-making.
  • Provide candidates with interview coaching, including insights into global supply chain trends, warehouse automation, and transport optimization strategies.

5. Talent Database Management

  • Maintain a detailed and up-to-date database of logistics and supply chain professionals, including certifications, expertise, and availability.
  • Track candidates' compliance with UAE logistics laws, warehouse safety regulations, and international trade policies.
  • Regularly update records to reflect new certifications, project experience, and availability for contract or full-time roles.

6. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all placements comply with UAE labor laws, international shipping regulations, and trade compliance standards.
  • Verify work permits, visas, and professional certifications to ensure candidates meet legal and technical requirements.
  • Stay informed about evolving compliance standards in transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance.

7. Onboarding & Post-Placement Support

  • Assist newly placed candidates in the onboarding process, ensuring they understand supply chain workflows, logistics regulations, and company policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for both clients and candidates after placement, addressing any post-placement concerns.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure employee retention, job satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

8. Continuous Improvement & Industry Insights

  • Stay updated on the latest logistics and supply chain innovations, including AI-driven supply chain analytics, IoT in transportation, and sustainable logistics practices.
  • Recommend improvements to recruitment strategies to enhance efficiency in sourcing and attracting top logistics and supply chain talent.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or HR certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of recruitment experience within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with transportation management, procurement, warehousing, distribution, and trade compliance.
  • Legal & Compliance: Understanding of UAE labor laws, customs clearance regulations, and contract staffing policies.
  • Recruitment & Client Management: Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment processes while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Independence & Efficiency: Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision while meeting client expectations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and professional networking platforms.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other relevant languages is a plus.
