Independent Fabrication and Erection Industry Recruiter – UAE (Hybrid/Flexible)

About the Role:

We are seeking an Independent Fabrication and Erection Recruiter to source, assess, and place highly skilled professionals within the fabrication, construction, and erection sectors across the UAE. This role requires expertise in metal fabricationweldingstructural erection, and construction project management


Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research & Candidate Sourcing

  • Conduct thorough market research on the fabrication and erection industries, analyzing hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and employment types (permanent, contract, and temporary).
  • Source qualified candidates using job boardsLinkedInindustry-specific platforms, and professional referrals.
  • Build strong relationships with construction companiesengineering firmsfabrication shops, and erection contractors to expand the talent pipeline and stay updated on workforce demands.

2. Candidate Screening & Assessment

  • Initial Screening: Review CVscertifications, and work experience related to metal fabricationweldingstructural erection, and construction.
  • Technical & Management Interviews: Conduct in-depth interviews in collaboration with industry experts and clients to assess candidates' expertise in:
    • Welding technologies (MIG, TIG, arc welding, etc.)
    • Metal fabrication techniques (cutting, bending, welding, assembling)
    • Structural steel erection and installation
    • Safety protocols and site management
    • Construction project management (scheduling, cost estimation, risk management)
  • Skills & Certification Verification: Ensure candidates hold relevant industry certifications such as:
    • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
    • Fabrication Engineer Certification
    • OSHA certifications for safety management
    • Welding certifications (AWS, ASME)
  • Competency & Compliance Assessment: Evaluate candidates' knowledge of safety regulationsUAE construction standards, and site management practices.

3. Client Collaboration

  • Partner with construction companiesengineering firmsfabrication contractors, and erection specialists to understand their staffing needs.
  • Provide industry insights on wage expectationsemerging trends, and UAE-specific regulations affecting the fabrication and erection sectors.
  • Assist clients in creating tailored job descriptions for roles in fabricationconstruction supervisionwelding, and structural erection.

4. Interview Coordination & Feedback

  • Schedule and facilitate interviews between candidates and clients, managing all logistics, feedback collection, and follow-ups.
  • Gather feedback from both candidates and clients post-interviews, offering constructive feedback and facilitating candidate selection.
  • Provide interview coaching to candidates on welding techniquesfabrication processes, and site safety management.

5. Talent Database Management

  • Maintain a comprehensive database of fabrication and erection professionals, including qualificationscertificationsskills, and availability.
  • Regularly update candidate profiles with new certificationswork experience, and availability for contract or full-time roles.
  • Ensure the database reflects compliance with UAE construction regulationssafety standards, and industry best practices.

6. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all placements comply with UAE labor lawsconstruction safety regulations, and site management compliance.
  • Verify work permitsvisa status, and professional certifications to ensure candidates meet all legal and technical requirements for construction and fabrication roles.
  • Stay informed about evolving UAE construction lawsfabrication standards, and safety regulations.

7. Onboarding & Post-Placement Support

  • Assist newly placed candidates with the onboarding process, ensuring they understand construction safetyfabrication workflows, and site-specific protocols.
  • Act as a point of contact for both clients and candidates to address any post-placement concerns.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure job satisfactionemployee retention, and operational efficiency in fabrication and construction projects.

8. Continuous Industry Insights & Improvement

  • Stay updated on the latest fabrication and construction trends, such as advancements in welding technologyrobotic fabrication, and modular construction.
  • Recommend improvements to recruitment strategies based on evolving needs in the constructionfabrication, and erection industries.
  • Offer clients insights on energy-efficient construction practicesmodular building solutions, and sustainable construction methods.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringCivil EngineeringConstruction Management, or a related field. An MBA or HR certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of recruitment experience in the fabricationconstruction, or erection sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with welding technologiesmetal fabrication processesstructural erectionconstruction management, and UAE safety regulations.
  • Legal & Compliance: Understanding of UAE labor lawsconstruction safety standards, and site management regulations.
  • Recruitment & Client Management: Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment processes while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Independence & Efficiency: Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision while meeting client expectations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)LinkedIn Recruiter, and industry-specific recruitment tools.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other relevant languages is a plus.
