Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Calibration Technician to perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and certification of field instrumentation and measurement equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will ensure all instruments are calibrated in accordance with international standards, company procedures, and client specifications while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, testing, and certification of process instruments in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISA, and client procedures.
  • Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical, and control instruments.
  • Perform calibration of control valves, safety valves (where applicable), transmitters, gauges, switches, and indicators.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on field instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot instrument faults and recommend corrective actions.
  • Carry out loop checking, functional testing, and commissioning support.
  • Configure and verify HART, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus instruments.
  • Operate calibration equipment including multifunction calibrators, pressure calibrators, deadweight testers, dry block calibrators, and temperature baths.
  • Prepare calibration certificates, reports, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure calibration equipment is maintained and traceable to national/international standards.
  • Interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, instrument datasheets, and calibration procedures.
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and plant start-up activities.
  • Supervise and mentor junior calibration technicians.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and permit-to-work procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
    • Calibration Technician Certification is an advantage.
    • ISO/IEC 17025 awareness is preferred.

    Experience

    • Senior Level: Minimum 7–10 years of experience in calibration and instrumentation maintenance.
    • Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Power Plant, or Industrial Process facilities.
    • Experience in shutdowns, commissioning, and plant maintenance is preferred.
