Job Title: Scaffolding Erection Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffolding Erection Technician to assemble, dismantle, and maintain scaffolding systems at construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure all scaffolding is structurally sound, meets safety standards, and supports the work of other tradespeople effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding structures according to design specifications and safety regulations.

• Inspect scaffolding components for damage, wear, and compliance with safety standards.

• Ensure scaffolding is stable, level, and properly anchored to prevent accidents.

• Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to support construction operations.

• Follow site safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and scaffolding components in good working condition.

• Report any safety hazards, structural concerns, or equipment issues promptly.

• Assist in load planning, rigging, and access solutions for construction projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in scaffolding erection, construction, or a related field.

• Knowledge of scaffolding types (e.g., tube and clamp, system, suspended) and assembly techniques.

• Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA or local equivalent).

• Ability to read scaffolding plans, diagrams, and load specifications.

• Physical stamina and strength to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy components.

• Attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Relevant certifications in scaffolding or construction safety preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction or scaffolding is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

• Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.

• Comfortable handling heavy scaffolding materials and tools.

Working Conditions:

• On-site work at construction, industrial, or maintenance locations.

• Exposure to heights, machinery, and potentially hazardous environments.
