Job Title: Painter

Job Summary:
The Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of materials and techniques, and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-quality and long-lasting finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling holes or cracks, and priming.

• Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve the desired color and finish.

• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

• Protect surrounding areas using masking, drop cloths, or other protective measures.

• Inspect finished surfaces and make touch-ups or corrections as needed.

• Maintain painting equipment and materials, ensuring they are stored safely.

• Follow safety procedures, including proper ventilation and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Collaborate with clients, contractors, or team members to meet project specifications and deadlines.

• Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on projects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a painter (residential, commercial, or industrial).

• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and finishes.

• Ability to mix and match colors accurately.

• Familiarity with safety procedures, including handling hazardous materials.

• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

• Attention to detail and strong eye-hand coordination.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with spray painting or specialty coatings.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

• Work may involve indoor and outdoor settings.

• Exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals; PPE required.

• May require working at heights or in confined spaces.

• Flexible working hours may be needed to meet project deadlines.
