Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand and power tools

• Construct frameworks, partitions, doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture

• Install structures and fixtures such as drywall, insulation, and molding

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

• Repair and renovate existing structures and fittings

• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean worksite

• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials

• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

• Proficiency with hand and power tools

• Good physical strength, stamina, and manual dexterity

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of safety standards and building codes

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training is an advantage

• 2+ years of carpentry experience preferred

Work Environment

• Construction sites, residential and commercial buildings

• May involve working at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
