SQL Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior SQL Developer to join our development/data team. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain SQL scripts, databases, reports, and data integrations. You will work closely with senior developers and analysts to ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and support business operations with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.

• Assist in database development, data modeling, and schema design.

• Maintain existing SQL scripts and troubleshoot data-related issues.

• Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integrations.

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

• Generate reports for internal stakeholders using SQL and reporting tools.

• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across systems.

• Document queries, workflows, and database changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOINs, filtering, sorting).

• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).

• Understanding of database concepts: tables, indexes, keys, normalization, etc.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
