Job Role 

Rapid-response electrician engaged per call-out to make sites safe, restore essential power, and diagnose faults on LV systems up to 415V (1Ø/3Ø) in residential and light-commercial premises. You’ll follow HSE/SOPs, issue temporary restorations where appropriate, document all test results, and provide clear remedial recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage & mobilization: Phone triage, tool/spares prep, ETA confirmation; coordinate access/permits with dispatch.

• Make-safe & temporary restoration: Isolate hazards (LOTO), cordon area, install temporary protected supplies/lighting where approved.

• Fault finding & repair: Trace tripping, short/earth faults, overloads, voltage drop, loose terminations, overheated connections, RCD nuisance trips; repair/replace defective devices (MCB/RCD/isolators/sockets/switches), terminations, and small cable runs.

• DB & circuit works: Re-termination, load balancing, labeling, insulation & continuity tests, RCD time/trip, loop impedance/PSC; install/replace SPDs where scoped.

• Lighting & small power: Emergency lighting checks, driver/transformer swaps, essential lighting restore.

• Equipment interface (basic): Water-heater/AC dedicated supplies and isolators; coordinate with other trades if root cause is non-electrical.

• Documentation: Record readings, photos, labels/schedules, parts used; produce incident/visit report and estimate/BoQ for permanent fix; obtain client sign-off in CRM.

• Client & authority coordination: Advise on DEWA/ADDC/DCD requirements; escalate major defects or permit-required works.

• HSE & housekeeping: Arc-flash awareness, LOTO, permit-to-work where needed, tidy site handover.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years electrical maintenance/fit-out (UAE/GCC preferred) with solid emergency/call-out experience.

• Strong diagnostics on protection devices, earthing/bonding, cable sizing/derating, and control wiring; able to read SLDs/schematics.

• Proficient with multifunction tester, insulation/megger, loop/PSC meter, RCD tester, clamp/multimeter, NCV tester; thermal camera familiarity is a plus.

• Basic English for reports and client updates (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

• Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.

• Valid UAE driving licence preferred; willing to travel between emirates and work nights/weekends.

Education & Certifications

• ITI/Trade Certificate or Diploma in Electrical (or equivalent).

• KHDA/TVET/approved third-party competency card preferred.

• First Aid/CPR and Work-at-Height awareness are advantages.
