Job Role 

Deliver small to mid-size masonry and tiling works for residential and light-commercial sites. Scope includes substrate preparation, screeding/leveling, waterproofing (basic), tile/stone installation, grouting/sealing, plastering/patching, and minor blockwork. Work to defined quality, safety, and turnaround SLAs; coordinate with dispatch for access/materials; close jobs with full documentation and client sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

• Site assessment & prep: Verify measurements, levels, falls to drain, substrate condition, and movement joints; protect adjacent finishes.

• Screed & leveling: Form screeds, self-leveling where required; ensure correct slopes in wet areas/balconies.

• Waterproofing (basic): Apply brush/roll-on membranes, corner tapes, and puddle tests as applicable; escalate major waterproofing to specialist team.

• Tile/stone installation: Layout and set ceramic/porcelain/stone tiles on floors/walls; cut/mitre neatly; use spacers/leveling systems; align patterns/skirting/nosings.

• Grouting & sealing: Select grout color/type; apply and tool joints; silicone at perimeters; clean haze; seal stone where specified.

• Repairs & make-good: Re-fix hollow/drummy tiles, spot re-grout, patch plaster, rebuild small areas of blockwork; reinstate edges and trims.

• Quality checks: Flatness, lippage, joint width, alignment, soundness; confirm falls and drain performance with water test where needed.

• Documentation: Record before/after photos, quantities, material batch codes, and client sign-off in CRM.

• Client coordination: Explain options/variants (tile sizes, trims, thresholds), obtain pre-approval for additional scope or unforeseen substrate issues.

• HSE compliance: Dust/noise control, silica exposure controls, PPE, electrical tool safety, work-at-height precautions, and housekeeping.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years hands-on tiling/masonry (UAE/GCC experience preferred).

• Proven skill in leveling, layout, cutting (manual/wet saw), mitres, and grout/silicone finishing with low lippage.

• Ability to read simple drawings and take accurate site measurements/levels.

• Familiar with adhesives/grouts for porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone; knowledge of expansion joints and movement detailing.

• Basic English for notes and client updates (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

• Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.

• Valid UAE driving licence preferred; able to travel between emirates.

Education & Certifications

• Trade certificate/ITI/Diploma in Masonry/Finishes (preferred).

• Basic HSE/First Aid and Work-at-Height awareness certificates are an advantage.
