Job Role

Deliver end-to-end soft landscaping and light hardscape works for residential and light-commercial sites: site prep, planting, turfing, irrigation installation/repairs, seasonal maintenance, minor paving/edging, and garden lighting. Coordinate with dispatch for access and approvals, follow HSE/SOPs, and close jobs with full documentation and client sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

• Survey & planning: Site assessment, measurements, soil check, utility/irrigation locate; prepare BOQ and basic sketches for approval.

• Soft landscaping: Soil improvement, planting (trees/shrubs/perennials/groundcover), staking/tying, mulching, bed shaping, pruning/hedging to standards.

• Turfing: Natural sod installation/renovation (levelling, base prep, rolling, watering plan) or artificial grass install (sub-base, compaction, joining, infill).

• Irrigation: Install/repair drip and sprinkler systems, controllers/timers, solenoid valves, pumps/filters; set seasonal schedules; pressure/coverage tests; leak rectification.

• Light hardscape: Edging, stepping stones/pavers, gravel paths, raised planters, timber borders and minor retaining edges (within community/permit rules).

• Garden lighting (low-voltage): Layout, cable routing, transformer/timer/photocell setup; testing and handover.

• Pest/disease & nutrition: Identify common issues and apply approved basic remedies; escalate chemical applications to licensed partners.

• Documentation: Record before/after photos, irrigation settings, plant lists/warranties, as-built notes, and client sign-off in CRM.

• Client communication: Provide status updates, propose improvements (water savings/plant selection), and seek pre-approval for variations.

• HSE compliance: PPE, heat-stress controls, safe trenching and cable management, work-at-height precautions, traffic/roadside awareness, waste segregation.

Minimum Requirements

• 4–6 years hands-on landscaping (installation & maintenance) in UAE or GCC.

• Strong knowledge of desert-suitable plant species, soil salinity management, and water-efficient practices.

• Competent in irrigation layout, controller programming, troubleshooting leaks/pressure issues.

• Able to read simple drawings/levels and produce accurate measurements/quantities.

• Basic English for notes and client updates (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

• Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.

• Valid UAE driving license preferred; ability to travel between emirates.

Education & Certifications

• Trade certificate/Diploma in Horticulture/Landscaping or equivalent (preferred).

• Short courses in irrigation or horticulture; Basic HSE/First Aid are an advantage.
