Job Role 

Engaged on a per-job or shift basis to monitor and secure the premises of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Responsibilities include performing security patrols, monitoring CCTV, managing access control, handling emergency situations, and ensuring that the building remains safe and secure at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the building, including entrances, hallways, stairwells, and parking areas, to prevent unauthorized access and detect any suspicious activities.

  • Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and to detect potential security risks.

  • Record and report all security-related activities, incidents, and irregularities in the daily logbook.

• Access Control:

  • Manage the entry and exit of residents, employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification and logging details as necessary.

  • Enforce building policies on access control, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed entry to secure areas.

  • Monitor and operate security gates, locks, and other access control systems, ensuring they are used correctly.

• Emergency Response & Handling:

  • Respond quickly to emergencies, including medical situations, fires, or security breaches, and notify the appropriate authorities.

  • Ensure the safety of building occupants during emergencies, including guiding people during evacuations and providing basic first aid if necessary.

  • Assist in resolving disputes or handling any unusual situations within the building, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

• Maintenance of Security Equipment:

  • Regularly inspect security equipment, including locks, lights, alarms, and surveillance systems, reporting any issues for maintenance or repair.

  • Ensure that doors, windows, and gates are securely locked after hours and that the building is properly secured.

• Client & Visitor Communication:

  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing tenant or visitor queries in a polite and professional manner.

  • Assist with routine tasks such as guiding tenants or visitors to specific areas, issuing passes, and providing basic building information.

• HSE & Compliance:

  • Follow all safety guidelines and building protocols, ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets.

  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards within the building (e.g., broken lights, blocked fire exits) to the appropriate department or supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a security guard, watchman, or in a similar role (UAE/GCC experience preferred).

• Ability to perform regular security patrols and inspections.

• Familiarity with security systems, including CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.

• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with building occupants, contractors, and visitors.

• Basic English for documentation and communication (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

• Valid UAE driving license preferred for mobile patrols (if required).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Security guard certification or training (preferred).

• First Aid and Fire Safety certifications are advantageous.

• HSE Awareness and Fire Warden certification are beneficial.
