Engaged on a per-job or project basis to perform waterproofing services for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Responsibilities include applying waterproofing systems to roofs, basements, foundations, and other areas prone to water infiltration. The role requires the technician to ensure high-quality installations, perform repairs, and guarantee the longevity and durability of waterproofing solutions.
Waterproofing Installation:
Apply waterproofing solutions to various surfaces, including foundations, walls, roofs, and terraces, using products such as liquid membranes, bitumen, and PVC-based systems.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing, and priming areas to ensure proper adhesion of waterproofing materials.
Install and apply a variety of waterproofing techniques, including hot-applied, cold-applied, and spray-on coatings.
Work with different waterproofing materials, such as membranes, sealants, coatings, and sprays, depending on the project needs and specifications.
Surface Preparation & Repair:
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and repairing any cracks, leaks, or damage before applying waterproofing layers.
Patch and repair damaged or cracked surfaces that could affect the waterproofing integrity, ensuring a smooth and secure surface.
Apply primers and bonding agents as required to ensure the long-term durability of the waterproofing solution.
Waterproofing Maintenance & Repair:
Perform inspections to identify areas of water damage and determine the best course of action for repair.
Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing waterproofing systems, including re-sealing joints, patching leaks, and replacing deteriorating waterproofing layers.
Inspect, repair, and maintain basement waterproofing, including foundation walls and drainage systems to prevent water ingress.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to local building codes, regulations, and safety standards when performing waterproofing installations and repairs.
Use proper safety equipment and tools when working with chemicals, tools, and high-risk areas.
Ensure that the work area is secure and free of hazards, including managing the safe disposal of any waste materials.
Customer Communication & Reporting:
Communicate with clients to discuss their waterproofing needs, present options, and explain the benefits of various solutions.
Advise clients on preventative measures and regular maintenance to extend the life of waterproofing systems.
Maintain accurate records of each job, including materials used, surface preparation, treatments applied, and client feedback.
3–5 years hands-on experience in waterproofing or construction (UAE/GCC preferred).
Expertise in applying various waterproofing systems and techniques, such as liquid membranes, cementitious coatings, and bituminous products.
Familiarity with common waterproofing materials and products, including their application methods and limitations.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify leaks, potential weak points, and areas requiring specialized attention.
Basic English for communication and documentation (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).
Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.
Valid UAE driving license preferred; willingness to travel between sites.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in Waterproofing Systems or related fields (preferred).
First Aid and HSE training are beneficial.
