The Warehouse & Inventory Manager β Valve Logistics & Stock Rotation is responsible for overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of valves and associated fluid control components. This role ensures efficient stock rotation practices to maintain valve integrity, minimize obsolescence, and support timely delivery to maintenance and project teams.
Manage all warehouse activities related to receiving, storage, and dispatch of valves and associated mechanical components.
Ensure proper handling procedures are followed to prevent damage and preserve valve quality (including coatings, seals, and packing).
Implement and oversee stock rotation policies (FIFO, FEFO) to maintain product integrity and shelf life compliance.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical stock audits.
Utilize ERP/Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track valve stock locations, batch numbers, and expiry dates.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and maintenance teams to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Plan and coordinate timely shipment of valves to various sites and projects, ensuring compliance with safety and transportation regulations.
Collaborate with logistics providers and freight forwarders for inbound and outbound valve shipments, including customs and documentation support.
Manage special handling requirements for critical or hazardous valves.
Ensure valves are stored according to manufacturer recommendations and industry standards to maintain compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and internal quality policies.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams for inspections and reports related to valve handling and storage.
Manage non-conformance reports and coordinate corrective actions for damaged or expired stock.
Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff focused on valve logistics and inventory management.
Foster a safety-conscious work environment adhering to HSE policies and procedures.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse layout, stock handling, and inventory turnover.
Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (Preferred)
7+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience, with at least 3 years managing valve or fluid control component inventory.
Strong knowledge of valve types, handling requirements, and shelf life considerations.
Experience with ERP and WMS systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar.
