We are seeking a strategic and technically accomplished Vice President – Instrumentation and Control to oversee all aspects of I&C engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management across our industrial operations. This executive role will lead the formulation and execution of instrumentation and control strategies to ensure operational excellence, safety, regulatory compliance, and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring deep engineering expertise and proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects in high-risk, high-reliability environments.
Lead the global strategy and governance for instrumentation and control systems across all facilities and capital projects.
Direct the design, implementation, and integration of field instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, and control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS).
Establish standards and specifications for I&C systems in alignment with international codes (ISA, API, IEC, NEC) and corporate engineering guidelines.
Provide executive oversight for the I&C scope in major projects (FEED, EPC, commissioning), ensuring budget and schedule performance.
Drive functional safety compliance including SIL classification and lifecycle implementation (IEC 61511).
Collaborate with operations, process, electrical, and automation teams to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency in plant control strategies.
Ensure cybersecurity governance for control system infrastructure in compliance with ISA/IEC 62443.
Lead innovation initiatives including smart instrumentation, digital field integration, and IIoT-based performance monitoring.
Represent the organization in vendor negotiations, industry forums, and regulatory engagements.
Build and mentor a high-performing I&C organization across regions, including succession planning and capability development.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
Minimum 18+ years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role
Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, Siemens, ABB) and industrial communication protocols
Proven experience in managing I&C for large-scale projects and operational facilities
Certifications in Functional Safety (e.g., TÜV), Cybersecurity, or PMP are preferred
Exceptional leadership, technical decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills
