The Senior Valve Warehouse Technician oversees and ensures the accuracy and reliability of all warehouse activities related to the identification, preservation, and traceability of valves and mechanical components. This role is critical in managing shelf-life tracking, barcoding, and physical condition monitoring of high-value mechanical stock to support EPC, oil & gas, or industrial maintenance projects.
Lead the implementation and standardization of barcode labeling across all valve categories and inventory.
Audit barcode compliance and integrity across incoming, stored, and outgoing materials.
Troubleshoot barcode scanning or inventory logging issues using WMS/ERP platforms.
Maintain detailed shelf-life tracking records for gaskets, lubricants, seal kits, and valve accessories.
Lead efforts in enforcing FIFO/FEFO principles and alerting project teams of approaching expiry risks.
Generate reports on shelf-life compliance and inventory aging for management reviews.
Supervise preservation routines such as re-oiling, cover replacement, and inspection of static parts.
Conduct detailed visual and physical inspections to assess the condition of long-stored or returned valves.
Collaborate with QA/QC to coordinate inspections and acceptance of critical mechanical components.
Ensure warehouse layout optimizes space and protects sensitive mechanical inventory.
Lead materials receiving and issue activities, ensuring tagging and documentation align with project needs.
Coordinate with logistics teams for packaging and preparation of preserved valves for export.
Train junior technicians on barcode systems, shelf-life protocols, and valve preservation practices.
Act as subject matter expert (SME) for stored mechanical inventory during client or third-party audits.
Ensure full compliance with ISO/API/ASME warehousing standards.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Warehouse Management
5–8+ years in mechanical inventory handling, including valves and static equipment
Strong background in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial warehouse operations
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
Deep knowledge of industrial valves and their critical shelf-life and preservation requirements
Proficiency with barcode labeling systems and WMS tools
Strong understanding of QA/QC integration in warehouse activities
Forklift or hoisting equipment operation experience (certified preferred)
Strong documentation, leadership, and audit readiness skills
Ability to train and lead junior staff with a focus on operational excellence and compliance
