The Mid-Level Valve Warehouse Technician is responsible for executing and monitoring barcoding, shelf-life tracking, and preservation of valves and mechanical parts. The role ensures mechanical inventory is traceable, maintained in compliance with quality standards, and ready for project issuance or dispatch. This position bridges hands-on operations with documentation, systems use, and team collaboration.
Apply and verify barcode labels on incoming valves and mechanical components.
Scan and update valve movements using barcode scanners and ERP/WMS systems.
Conduct inventory audits to ensure barcode data aligns with physical stock.
Monitor shelf-life of valve accessories such as seals, lubricants, and consumables.
Implement FIFO/FEFO procedures for warehouse rotation.
Tag and report materials nearing expiry or requiring re-certification.
Perform basic inspections on stored valves for corrosion, rust, or seal degradation.
Reapply RPO (rust preventive oil), replace protective caps, or desiccants as required.
Coordinate with QA/QC and preservation teams for critical or high-value items.
Ensure valves are stored according to weight, size, and material compatibility.
Operate forklifts or pallet jacks (if trained) for valve loading, unloading, and placement.
Support clean and hazard-free storage practices.
Maintain accurate records of valve condition reports, barcode scan logs, and shelf-life updates.
Collaborate with procurement and quality departments to resolve discrepancies.
Prepare valve materials for outbound dispatch with proper tagging and preservation.
Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Logistics/Warehousing
Bachelor's degree is a plus
3–5 years of relevant experience in valve or mechanical component warehousing
Experience in EPC, oil & gas, or industrial project supply chains preferred
Working knowledge of valve types and storage/preservation requirements
Experience using barcode scanners and ERP/WMS (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Understanding of shelf-life tracking and stock rotation principles
Attention to detail, good documentation habits, and team collaboration
Safety-conscious and physically capable for warehouse duties
Forklift certification (preferred)
