The Junior Valve Warehouse Technician plays a key role in barcode labeling, shelf-life tracking, and routine care of stored valves and mechanical parts. The position supports warehouse efficiency by maintaining material traceability, ensuring quality preservation of components, and participating in inventory control processes within a technical warehouse environment.
Generate and apply barcode labels to valves, spare parts, and associated components.
Operate barcode scanners or handheld terminals to log material movements in the inventory system.
Maintain accuracy and consistency of barcode records in warehouse logs or ERP systems.
Track the expiry and usability of gaskets, O-rings, greases, and valve components.
Rotate inventory (FIFO/FEFO) and segregate expired or near-expiry items.
Update shelf-life logs and report critical items to supervisors.
Perform periodic valve inspections for rust, seal degradation, and damage.
Reapply rust preventive oil (RPO), protective covers, or desiccant packs when needed.
Assist in re-preservation or packaging activities for long-term storage or shipment.
Participate in physical stock counts and cycle counts for mechanical inventory.
Help maintain valve storage checklists, movement records, and inspection logs.
Ensure tagging, documentation, and traceability of all items in line with ISO/API project requirements.
Organize valves and mechanical items according to material type, size, and project requirements.
Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) for material movement and racking.
Follow warehouse layout and safety standards for material placement.
Technical Diploma or Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Warehousing, or Logistics (Required)
Bachelorβs Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (Preferred)
1β3 years in valve storage, warehouse inventory, or mechanical logistics
Exposure to oil & gas, EPC, or manufacturing project warehouses is a plus
Knowledge of industrial valve types (gate, globe, check, ball, etc.)
Familiarity with barcode systems and basic warehouse software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Understanding of shelf-life tracking and material preservation basics
Strong organization and documentation habits
Ability to follow procedures and work independently with minimal supervision
Forklift license or training (advantageous)
