The Valve Warehouse Technician (Fresher Level) supports day-to-day warehouse operations focused on barcode labeling, shelf-life tracking, and the maintenance condition of stored valves and mechanical components. This role offers hands-on experience in warehouse procedures, industrial material handling, and mechanical preservation techniques.
Assist in generating and attaching barcode labels to valves and spare parts.
Scan materials into inventory using barcode readers or handheld terminals.
Ensure traceability of materials by verifying part numbers, heat numbers, and supplier info.
Help track and record shelf-life information of valve components, seals, gaskets, and lubricants.
Identify items nearing expiration and notify supervisors for further action.
Assist in rotating stock (FIFO/FEFO) to ensure optimal usage of inventory.
Perform visual inspections of valves for signs of rust, wear, or physical damage.
Clean, oil, or re-preserve valves as per instructions under the supervision of senior staff.
Help maintain a clean and organized storage environment.
Store valves and parts as per layout drawings, rack configurations, and safety guidelines.
Use hand tools or manual handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) to organize inventory.
Follow correct lifting and safety procedures.
Assist in updating log sheets, shelf-life records, and barcode checklists.
Help prepare basic inventory reports and participate in periodic cycle counts.
High School Diploma or Technical Certificate in Warehouse Operations, Mechanical Trades, or Logistics
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred but not required)
0–1 year (entry-level; internships or vocational training in a warehouse or industrial setup is a plus)
Basic understanding of valve types and mechanical parts
Familiarity with barcode scanners, printers, or inventory apps (training will be provided)
Detail-oriented and eager to learn about warehouse systems
Good physical fitness and ability to follow safety instructions
Team-oriented, organized, and dependable
