The Vice President of Turbomachinery Procurement – Global Sourcing and OEM Strategy is responsible for leading global procurement, contracting, and supplier engagement for all turbomachinery systems—including gas/steam turbines, compressors, gearboxes, and generators. This role defines sourcing strategy, vendor portfolio, contract execution, and commercial risk management for high-value equipment across greenfield projects, upgrades, and operations worldwide.
Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for turbomachinery aligned with capital project timelines, technical standards, and long-term service needs.
Define category roadmaps covering OEM selection, vendor risk analysis, localization opportunities, and price forecasting.
Lead executive-level relationships and negotiations with global OEMs (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, MAN, Solar, Ansaldo, etc.).
Establish performance-based contracts, LTAs, and master service agreements that optimize lifecycle value and equipment reliability.
Oversee all commercial and legal aspects of turbomachinery procurement, including Incoterms, delivery schedules, LDs, payment terms, warranties, and performance guarantees.
Manage negotiation of complex contracts including turnkey supply, EPC integration, and aftermarket support agreements.
Work closely with engineering, project management, legal, finance, and operations to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
Provide executive oversight on RFQs, bid evaluations, TCO modeling, vendor prequalification, and global procurement governance.
Identify global supply chain risks (capacity constraints, geopolitical issues, currency volatility) and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, ESG policies, export controls (ITAR/EAR), and internal procurement policies.
Monitor global turbomachinery markets, cost trends, OEM capacity, and emerging technologies (e.g., hydrogen-ready turbines).
Support the development of dual-sourcing strategies, local content plans, and supply chain digitalization initiatives.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (MBA or equivalent preferred)
Experience: 18+ years of progressive experience in procurement or sourcing, with 10+ years focused on turbomachinery or heavy rotating equipment in global project environments
Domain Expertise:
In-depth understanding of turbomachinery technical requirements and supply markets
Experience with OEM contracts, LTSA structuring, and EPC procurement models
Proven leadership in global supply chain transformation and supplier performance management
CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
PMP (Project Management Professional)
APICS CSCP or CPIM
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (optional for supplier QA oversight)
SAP Ariba, Oracle SCM, Coupa, or similar platforms
Cost modeling tools, vendor dashboards, and analytics (Power BI, Tableau)
