The Vice President – Flight Systems Integration and Control is responsible for the strategic leadership and technical oversight of flight control systems integration across all aerospace programs. This role manages the engineering, validation, and delivery of integrated flight systems—including flight control, propulsion coordination, avionics interfaces, and airframe systems—to ensure optimal performance, safety, and certification compliance for advanced aircraft platforms.
Flight Control System Integration – Lead full lifecycle integration of flight control systems, including fly-by-wire architectures, control laws, and actuator systems.
Cross-Disciplinary Coordination – Oversee collaboration between avionics, propulsion, software, airframe, and systems engineering teams.
System Validation & Verification – Ensure complete integration testing, simulation, and certification of flight systems under applicable standards.
Program Strategy & Delivery – Manage budgets, resources, and delivery schedules for integrated flight control programs across platforms.
Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to airworthiness standards (e.g., FAA/EASA regulations, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A).
Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for flight systems integration aligned with overall aircraft program goals.
Lead engineering teams in the design and implementation of integrated flight control systems and associated components.
Oversee systems integration test planning, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and software validation environments.
Coordinate with certification authorities to achieve timely compliance and approvals.
Manage risk identification and mitigation strategies related to system interactions and flight dynamics.
Evaluate and adopt enabling technologies such as model-based systems engineering (MBSE), digital twins, and AI-enhanced diagnostics.
Represent the company in executive-level customer, supplier, and regulatory meetings concerning system integration and safety.
Master’s or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Avionics, or a related field.
15+ years of aerospace experience with a strong focus on flight controls, system integration, and avionics coordination, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
Expertise in fly-by-wire systems, autopilot integration, control surfaces, and system modeling.
Proven knowledge of regulatory and safety standards: DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARINC protocols.
Strategic leadership in aerospace systems integration.
Deep understanding of aircraft dynamics and multidisciplinary system interaction.
Strong organizational, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and technical presentation capabilities.
High proficiency in managing complex development programs and certification projects.
