Job Title: Turbine Rigger
Job Summary:
The
Junior Turbine Rigger will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of turbine systems and related components, working under the guidance of senior riggers and engineers. This role involves learning the basics of turbine rigging, using rigging tools and equipment, and ensuring turbines are installed, maintained, and repaired safely and efficiently. The Junior Turbine Rigger will be responsible for supporting turbine assembly, rigging, and troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Turbine Installation Assistance:
- Assist in the rigging and lifting of turbine components using hoists, cranes, and other rigging equipment.
- Help position and align turbines, motors, and other mechanical systems as per design and engineering specifications.
- Support the installation of turbines by ensuring that all rigging components are securely fastened and correctly installed.

Lifting and Rigging Operations:
- Aid in the setup and execution of lifting plans, including positioning slings, shackles, and other rigging equipment.
- Assist in the safe lifting and transportation of turbine components, ensuring proper rigging techniques are followed.
- Follow guidelines to safely operate rigging equipment, under the supervision of senior riggers, to lift and move turbine components.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with turbine rigging equipment and during the installation process.
- Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during rigging operations.
- Help identify and report potential safety hazards to senior riggers or engineers, ensuring a safe working environment for the team.
- Assist in the inspection of rigging equipment for any wear or damage before use.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting Assistance:
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on turbine components and associated systems, ensuring turbines operate efficiently.
- Support troubleshooting activities to diagnose issues with turbines and rigging equipment, under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.
- Help replace worn-out components and ensure all turbine systems are properly calibrated and functional.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of turbine rigging activities, including lifting plans, safety checks, and maintenance reports.
- Assist in preparing progress reports for turbine installation or maintenance activities, documenting any changes or modifications.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation for future reference, including any repairs or troubleshooting actions taken.

Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work collaboratively with other riggers, engineers, and technicians to ensure timely and safe installation and maintenance of turbine systems.
- Participate in daily team briefings to discuss project progress, safety considerations, and any potential challenges.
- Provide assistance to senior riggers and technicians when needed, contributing to overall team success.

- Continuously develop knowledge and skills in turbine rigging, mechanical systems, and industry best practices.
- Participate in training programs and on-the-job learning to improve technical abilities and understanding of turbine systems.

Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of turbine systems and mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with rigging tools and equipment, including hoists, cranes, slings, shackles, and lifting beams.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow safety procedures.
- Willingness to learn and develop hands-on experience in turbine rigging and installation.
- Good communication skills for working effectively with other team members and reporting progress.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently under supervision.
Field Instrumentation: Assist in maintaining and
calibrating field devices for accurate process control.
Troubleshooting: Learn basic fault diagnosis and
support the resolution of issues in instrumentation systems.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and
participate in training programs to ensure workplace safety.
Skill Development: Gain technical knowledge and
experience in oil and gas field operations.
Educational Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
- Basic technical certifications or coursework in mechanical systems, rigging, or safety practices is beneficial but not required.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in rigging, mechanical work, or industrial settings.
- Any exposure to turbine rigging, machinery, or equipment installation through internships, academic projects, or previous work experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Tools and Technologies:
- Familiarity with rigging tools, such as hoists, cranes, slings, and shackles.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment used in turbine installation or maintenance.
- Exposure to safety equipment (e.g., harnesses, helmets) and PPE required for turbine rigging work.
Other Requirements:
