Roles & Responsibilities

The Junior Turbine Logistics Technician will assist in the safe and efficient handling of turbine components, focusing on rigging, preservation, and offloading activities. This role supports the logistics team to ensure turbine parts are correctly stored, transported, and maintained to meet project and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in rigging and lifting turbine components using cranes, hoists, and slings following established safety procedures.

  • Perform preservation tasks including cleaning, applying protective coatings, wrapping, and sealing turbine parts to prevent corrosion and damage.

  • Participate in the offloading and unloading of turbine equipment from trucks, containers, or vessels with proper handling techniques.

  • Conduct routine inspections of turbine components during logistics operations and report any damages or irregularities.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of preservation status and handling procedures.

  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

  • Coordinate with warehouse, transport, and project teams to support smooth logistics flow.

  • Continuously learn and improve skills related to turbine logistics, rigging, and preservation.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Rigging & Lifting: Safe handling and movement of turbine components using proper rigging methods.

  • Preservation: Application and monitoring of preservation techniques to protect turbine parts.

  • Offloading Operations: Efficient and safe offloading of turbine equipment with minimal risk.

  • Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Inspection & Reporting: Basic condition checks and timely reporting of any issues.

  • Documentation & Coordination: Accurate record-keeping and communication within the logistics chain.

  • Skill Development: Ongoing learning in logistics operations and turbine handling.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in logistics or mechanical trades preferred.

  • Some hands-on experience or internships in rigging, logistics, or preservation is a plus.

  • Physical ability to handle manual labor and work in varied environments.

  • Good teamwork, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions.

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in turbine logistics.
