Job Title: Turbine E&I Technician

Job Summary: 

The Mid-Level Turbine E&I Technician will play a crucial role in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems associated with turbine operations. This position requires a skilled technician with a background in electrical and instrumentation systems and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of turbine operations, safety protocols, and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Regular Inspections:

    • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.

    • Diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues and perform repairs.

    • Monitor turbine operations and make adjustments.

  2. Maintenance and Repairs:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

    • Collaborate with engineering teams for system upgrades.

    • Assist in training junior technicians.

  3. Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols.

    • Respond to emergency calls related to electrical and instrumentation malfunctions.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing electrical issues.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills.

Key Focus Areas:

Field Instrumentation: Assist in maintaining and calibrating field devices for accurate process control.

Troubleshooting: Learn basic fault diagnosis and support the resolution of issues in instrumentation systems.

Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and participate in training programs to ensure workplace safety.

Skill Development: Gain technical knowledge and experience in oil and gas field operations.

Educational Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • A certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation systems.

  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing turbine components.

Tools and Technologies:

  • Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment.

  • Familiarity with turbine systems.
