Job Summary:

The Director of Travel Operations will develop and implement cost-efficient travel policies, oversee supplier relationships, manage crisis response strategies, and drive technology integration. Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Travel Management & Policy Development
- Develop and execute corporate travel strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and enforce company-wide travel policies, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
- Optimize global travel programs for executives, VIPs, corporate teams, and high-profile clients.
2. Financial & Budget Management- Oversee multi-million-dollar travel budgets, ensuring cost control and ROI optimization.
- Implement data-driven strategies to reduce travel expenses while maintaining service excellence.
- Analyze KPIs such as travel spend, savings achieved, and policy compliance.
3. Vendor & Supplier Negotiation & Relationship Management- Establish and maintain high-value partnerships with airlines, hotels, and ground transportation providers.
- Negotiate exclusive travel contracts, corporate rates, and volume discounts.
- Ensure seamless coordination with travel agencies, GDS providers, and concierge services.
4. Executive & VIP Travel Oversight- Develop specialized VIP travel programs for executives, C-suite leaders, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Oversee private aviation, luxury accommodations, and high-end transportation services.
- Provide 24/7 support for high-profile clients with customized concierge travel solutions.
5. Risk, Crisis & Compliance Management- Implement global travel risk management and emergency response strategies.
- Ensure compliance with international travel regulations, safety protocols, and visa requirements.
- Develop contingency plans for geopolitical disruptions, health emergencies, and security concerns.
6. Technology & Digital Transformation in Travel- Lead the adoption of AI-powered travel analytics, automated booking tools, and expense management systems.
- Oversee the implementation of corporate booking platforms and travel CRM solutions.
- Drive innovation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence for predictive travel insights.
7. Team Leadership & Departmental Oversight- Manage a team of travel managers, coordinators, and support staff across multiple regions.
- Lead recruitment, training, and mentorship programs for travel teams.

4. High-End Executive & VIP Travel Management- Oversee luxury travel services, high-profile client concierge experiences, and premium business travel logistics.
- Ensure security, privacy, and seamless execution of VIP itineraries.
5. Crisis & Emergency Travel Response- Lead business continuity plans for travel disruptions, geopolitical risks, and health emergencies.
- Establish 24/7 travel support teams for immediate issue resolution.
6. Travel Technology & Digital Innovation- Drive corporate travel digital transformation through AI, automation, and self-service portals.
- Implement data analytics for travel spend forecasting, route optimization, and personalized travel experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
2. Experience: 10+ years of experience in corporate travel management, luxury travel, or high-end concierge services.
3. Certifications: IATA, GBTA (Global Business Travel Association), or Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) preferred.
4. Multilingual Proficiency: Strong fluency in English plus one or more languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, etc.).
5. Experience in High-Net-Worth & Luxury Travel: Knowledge of private jet charters, yacht travel, and five-star hospitality services.
