The Senior Thermal Systems Engineer leads the advanced thermal design, modeling, and optimization of HVAC systems and components, focusing on innovative heat transfer solutions that drive energy efficiency, system reliability, and regulatory compliance. This role provides strategic technical leadership on complex projects, mentors engineering teams, and collaborates with R&D, manufacturing, and product management to deliver market-leading HVAC products.
Lead the development of cutting-edge thermal solutions for HVAC equipment, including heat exchangers, coils, refrigerant circuits, and ventilation systems.
Drive innovation in heat transfer technologies, refrigerant management, and energy recovery systems aligned with sustainability goals.
Evaluate emerging thermal simulation methods and digital twin technologies for product optimization.
Oversee complex CFD simulations and thermal modeling to predict system behavior under varied operational scenarios.
Direct experimental validation, prototype testing, and performance benchmarking in collaboration with lab and field teams.
Analyze thermal data to identify root causes of performance issues and implement corrective design changes.
Manage multiple high-impact thermal engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level thermal engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Lead cross-functional workshops on thermal design best practices, risk mitigation, and innovation strategies.
Partner with mechanical design, controls, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate thermal considerations throughout product lifecycles.
Ensure all thermal designs comply with industry standards, codes, and environmental regulations (e.g., AHRI, ASHRAE, EPA).
Represent the company at technical conferences, industry groups, and client engagements.

Proven track record of leading complex thermal projects and driving innovation
Expert proficiency with CFD and thermal simulation software (ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+)
Advanced skills in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis (MATLAB, Python)
Experience with digital twin technology and thermal control systems integration is a plus
