Job Title: Test Engineer (Mechanical Focus)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Test Engineer with a Mechanical Focus to join our engineering team. In this role, you will assist senior engineers in testing and validating mechanical systems, components, and products to ensure they meet performance and quality standards. You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical testing, data collection, and troubleshooting while contributing to the overall quality and reliability of our products. Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Mechanical Testing:
- Support the testing of mechanical systems, components, and materials to verify their functionality, durability, and compliance with design specifications.
- Prepare test setups, ensuring that equipment is properly calibrated and ready for testing.
- Assist in executing mechanical tests such as stress, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and performance tests under the supervision of senior engineers.
Data Collection and Reporting:
- Collect and record test data accurately, ensuring that it is complete and traceable for future analysis.
- Assist in analyzing test results and identifying any issues, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.
- Help prepare detailed reports documenting test results, observations, and any corrective actions taken.
Test Equipment Management:
- Learn to use and maintain various test equipment such as universal testing machines, strain gauges, and environmental chambers.
- Support troubleshooting and calibration of test equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Assist in tracking equipment performance and calibration schedules to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Follow established testing protocols and industry standards to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Assist in ensuring that all tests are conducted safely, and that results are documented according to company policies.
- Report any non-conformances or deviations from testing protocols to senior engineers for further analysis and action.
Collaboration with Engineering Teams:
- Work closely with the design, production, and quality teams to ensure that test plans are aligned with product specifications and production timelines.
- Assist senior engineers in providing technical support and feedback regarding design improvements or issues identified during testing.
- Communicate effectively with the engineering team to coordinate testing schedules and ensure that deadlines are met.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop your technical knowledge and skills in mechanical testing and engineering practices.
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.
- Take on additional responsibilities as you grow in your role and develop more expertise in mechanical testing.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Systems, or a related field.
- Recent graduates with 1-2 years of professional experience are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, components, and their functions.
- Familiarity with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges) and testing equipment is a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to learn testing methodologies and how to use various testing tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure that tests are conducted accurately and that results are reliable.
