Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Test Engineer (Aerospace) – Fresher Level to join our testing team. As a fresher, you will be responsible for assisting in the testing and validation of aerospace systems, components, and equipment to ensure they meet design and performance specifications. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to gain hands-on experience with testing procedures, equipment, and quality assurance practices. Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Test Planning and Setup:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of tests to validate the performance of aerospace systems, components, and equipment.
- Help set up test equipment, instrumentation, and data collection systems for various aerospace components, such as avionics, propulsion systems, and airframes.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to determine testing requirements, create test plans, and support the setup for different test environments (e.g., vibration, thermal, pressure, or load tests).
Conducting Tests:
- Support the execution of tests on aerospace systems, components, and subsystems according to predefined test procedures and safety protocols.
- Operate test equipment such as vibration simulators, thermal chambers, and pressure test rigs under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Assist in the monitoring and data collection during testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Assist in analyzing test data and performing basic data processing tasks to ensure it aligns with expected results.
- Help identify and report any discrepancies or issues encountered during testing to senior engineers.
- Assist in preparing test reports, summarizing test results, and documenting any issues or improvements discovered during the test process.
Quality Assurance:
- Follow all established quality control and safety procedures during testing to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards.
- Ensure test equipment and systems are maintained and calibrated properly to guarantee accurate results.
- Assist in tracking and ensuring that all tests meet regulatory requirements and specifications set by internal and external authorities (e.g., FAA, MIL-SPEC, ISO).
Collaborating with Cross-functional Teams:
- Work with design and engineering teams to understand test requirements and provide feedback from testing results that may influence design improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to assist with any issues that arise during testing, and provide insights into potential solutions.
Learning and Development:
- Participate in on-the-job training and mentorship to enhance your knowledge of aerospace testing and industry best practices.
- Stay updated on new testing techniques, tools, and technologies in the aerospace field to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities with senior engineers to accelerate your learning curve and develop your testing expertise.

Aerodynamics:
- Assist in optimizing aerodynamic systems for aircraft or spacecraft performance using modeling software.
Propulsion Systems:
- Contribute to the development and testing of propulsion systems, focusing on efficiency and reliability.
Structural Engineering:
- Design and test structural components to ensure strength, durability, and safety.
Systems Integration:
- Support integration of mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems to ensure seamless operation.
Stress and Fatigue Analysis:
- Perform analysis on components to ensure they can withstand operational stresses and fatigue.
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Ensure adherence to industry standards through inspections, testing protocols, and quality control procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Freshers or recent graduates are encouraged to apply; 1 -2 years of prior professional experience is required.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of aerospace systems, components, and testing methods.
- Familiarity with testing equipment such as vibration shakers, thermal chambers, pressure test rigs, and data acquisition systems.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, MATLAB, or similar) to interpret test results.
- Willingness to learn and use industry-standard test and simulation software.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a methodical and accurate manner.
- Good communication skills for interacting with senior engineers, technical teams, and reporting test results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during testing.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and effectively collaborate with colleagues.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
- Any basic certifications related to testing, quality assurance, or safety in the aerospace or engineering fields are a plus.
- Certification in basic test equipment handling and safety protocols is beneficial.
