The Test Bench Supervisor – I&C Integration Stations is responsible for overseeing the setup, management, and execution of test bench operations used for the integration and functional verification of instrumentation and control systems. The role requires a strong technical foundation, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in supervising I&C testing across multidisciplinary projects.
Supervision of Test Bench Operations:
Lead and coordinate daily activities on I&C test benches; ensure adherence to procedures and timelines.
Test Planning & Execution:
Develop and review test procedures, execute integration and functional testing for control systems, and ensure performance meets design intent.
Team Leadership:
Supervise junior technicians and engineers during testing activities; provide guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
System Integration:
Coordinate with engineering, automation, and commissioning teams to support system-level integration and ensure seamless interface between subsystems.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis:
Identify faults during testing, perform in-depth troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions with the technical team.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure all testing complies with internal standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC, ISA, ISO 9001).
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of test results, calibration certificates, equipment usage, and deviations; prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies in the testing process; suggest and implement improvements in methodology and tools.
Advanced Instrumentation Testing:
Deep knowledge of sensor calibration, loop checking, and field device integration across pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
Control System Verification:
Supervise the testing and validation of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems; verify logic, control loops, alarms, and interlocks.
Communication & Protocol Testing:
Validate and troubleshoot fieldbus and industrial network communication (e.g., HART, PROFIBUS, MODBUS TCP/IP, OPC-UA).
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Liaise with mechanical, electrical, and process teams for system alignment and interface testing.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols during high-voltage and pressurized system testing.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3–6 years of hands-on experience in I&C system testing, preferably in industrial automation, process plants, or energy sectors.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation standards, testing tools, calibration equipment, and integration methods.
Proven leadership experience in supervising technical teams.
Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and control logic documentation.
