Job Title: Temperature Calibration Engineer
Job Summary:
The Senior Temperature Calibration Engineer is responsible for leading advanced calibration processes, troubleshooting complex temperature measurement systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational protocols. This role involves managing large-scale projects, mentoring junior staff, and driving innovations in calibration methodologies to enhance precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibration and Testing:
- Lead advanced calibration of temperature instruments, including thermocouples, RTDs, infrared sensors, and temperature transmitters.
- Validate the performance of temperature control systems and ensure compliance with ISO and organizational standards.
- Address and resolve complex calibration challenges and measurement discrepancies with minimal supervision.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of detailed calibration records, reports, and certificates for internal and external audits.
- Develop and refine calibration procedures to ensure alignment with ISO 17025 and industry best practices.
- Analyze calibration data and provide actionable insights for process improvements.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Supervise and perform preventive maintenance on calibration tools and systems, such as temperature baths and dry-block calibrators.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues in temperature measurement systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Implement strategies to enhance the reliability and accuracy of calibration equipment.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all calibration activities comply with relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ISO 9001) and safety protocols.
- Act as a key participant in internal and external audits, providing expertise in compliance and corrective actions.
- Promote and implement best practices for safety and environmental sustainability in calibration operations.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development.
- Lead cross-functional teams on calibration-related projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to other departments or clients on temperature calibration challenges.
Process Optimization and Innovation:
- Identify inefficiencies in calibration workflows and lead efforts to optimize processes for improved productivity and accuracy.
- Stay updated on advancements in calibration technologies and integrate innovative solutions into existing workflows.
- Drive research and development initiatives to develop new calibration techniques or enhance existing ones.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Advanced knowledge of temperature measurement principles, devices (thermocouples, RTDs), and control systems.
- Expertise in using high-precision calibration tools such as dry-block calibrators, temperature baths, infrared calibrators, and thermal chambers.
- Proficiency in standards and regulatory compliance, including ISO 17025, ANSI, and ASTM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex calibration issues and improving workflows.
- Leadership skills to guide teams and effectively manage multiple calibration projects.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced certifications in calibration, metrology, or ISO 17025 standards are highly desirable.

Water Purification and Treatment Systems Control:
Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced temperature calibration systems in water purification and treatment processes.- Developing strategies for precise temperature control to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.
Environmental and Regulatory Compliance:
Ensuring all temperature calibration processes align with environmental and regulatory standards, including documentation and certification readiness.- Conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Monitoring of Water Quality:
Overseeing the integration of temperature data into water quality monitoring frameworks, optimizing key parameters such as pH, chlorine levels, and turbidity.- Driving innovations to address complex temperature-related challenges in water treatment systems, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in temperature calibration or a related field.
- Proven ability to lead complex calibration projects and manage teams.
Tools and Equipment:
- Advanced calibration equipment such as multifunction calibrators, temperature baths, infrared thermometers, thermal chambers, and data logging systems.
- Familiarity with calibration management software for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
