Job Summary
The Senior Telecommunication Network Engineer plays a critical role in the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale telecommunications networks. This position requires a deep understanding of advanced networking technologies and the ability to manage major escalations effectively. The engineer will lead network expansion projects, ensuring that the infrastructure meets the evolving demands of the organization. This role is essential for maintaining high-performance network architectures and implementing innovative solutions to enhance network reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance network architectures that support organizational goals and enhance service delivery.
- Develop and maintain redundancy and disaster recovery plans to ensure network resilience and minimize downtime.
- Optimize traffic engineering and load balancing to improve network performance and resource utilization.
- Conduct deep network analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex issues swiftly.
- Lead major infrastructure upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to services and seamless transitions.
- Implement automation for network provisioning, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Advanced networking knowledge, including BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN, and EVPN.
- Experience with cloud networking solutions such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong understanding of network security best practices to safeguard organizational assets.
- Proficiency in network automation tools and languages, including Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills to drive initiatives to successful completion.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent.

Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, with a proven track record of success.

- Network emulators and simulators such as GNS3 and EVE-NG.
- Security and threat detection platforms to monitor and protect network integrity.
- High-end routers and switches, including Cisco Nexus, Juniper MX, and Huawei NE.
