Senior Tax Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to manage the organization’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax obligations, monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and support the business in minimizing tax liabilities while maintaining full compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, up-to-date tax knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns, including corporate, VAT, withholding, and other relevant filings

  • Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international tax regulations

  • Conduct tax research and provide guidance on the tax implications of business transactions

  • Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities as needed

  • Analyze tax data and prepare supporting documentation for audits and tax inquiries

  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on business operations

  • Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documentation

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including tax provisions and deferred tax calculations

  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)

  • Professional certification such as CPA, CTA, ACCA, or CA is preferred

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant tax experience, ideally in a multinational or public accounting firm

  • Strong knowledge of local and international tax laws, VAT, and corporate taxation

  • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
