Job Title: Junior – Systems Engineer 

Job Summary

The Junior Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in managing and supporting the IT infrastructure of the organization. The Junior Systems Engineer will work closely with senior engineers to assist in the implementation and maintenance of operating systems, enterprise applications, and network configurations. Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure operating systems and enterprise applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Support network security implementations, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems, while performing basic troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Maintain system backups and develop disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.
• Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure high availability of services.
• Document IT configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance with best practices.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Proficient in Windows and Linux server administration, with a solid understanding of system configurations and management.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing fundamentals, including platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with basic scripting languages, including PowerShell, Bash, and Python, to automate routine tasks.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices to ensure the integrity and security of IT systems.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CCNA, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or RHCSA are preferred and will enhance candidacy.

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical role, preferably in systems engineering or IT support.

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V for managing virtual environments.
