Job Summary
The Supervisor of System Administrators plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the system administration team, ensuring the effective management of IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of system administrators and IT support staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
- Ensure that system infrastructure operates efficiently, securely, and reliably, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
- Develop and implement system administration best practices and policies to ensure consistency and quality across the team.
- Manage workload distribution among team members, ensuring that tasks are allocated effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining a secure and compliant IT environment.
- Oversee resource allocation for system projects and upgrades, ensuring that all necessary resources are available and utilized effectively.
- Escalate complex issues to senior management when necessary, ensuring timely resolution of critical problems.
- Coordinate with other IT teams for cross-functional projects, promoting collaboration and communication across departments.
- Ensure the continuity of service during system outages or incidents, implementing disaster recovery plans as needed.
Skills and Knowledge Required

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications (preferred): ITIL v3/v4, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
