We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Steam Plant Supervisor to lead the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our steam generation facilities. This senior-level role requires in-depth technical expertise in steam systems, advanced knowledge of mechanical and thermal processes, and demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale steam plant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising plant performance, optimizing equipment reliability, mentoring technical teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Oversee the end-to-end operation of steam boilers, turbines, heat exchangers, and auxiliary systems.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and reliable steam supply.
Lead shift operations, ensuring seamless coordination across teams for uninterrupted plant performance.
Design and implement advanced preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Supervise major equipment overhauls, inspections, and upgrades.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and external contractors for critical mechanical work.
Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of operators, technicians, and junior supervisors.
Conduct technical training programs and performance evaluations.
Foster a safety-first culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
Ensure full compliance with local, national, and industry safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ASME, ISO).
Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and root cause analyses of incidents.
Maintain documentation for inspections, compliance reporting, and regulatory submissions.
Analyze plant performance metrics (fuel efficiency, steam load, emissions) and identify areas for improvement.
Lead energy optimization initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability.
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and SCADA/PLC systems for real-time monitoring.
Prepare detailed technical reports, O&M budgets, and CAPEX justifications.
Present performance reviews and reliability improvement plans to senior management.
Track and control OPEX spending in line with operational goals.
Strategic supervision of steam plant operations and personnel
Asset reliability, condition monitoring, and maintenance planning
Regulatory compliance, HSE leadership, and performance reporting
Cross-functional collaboration and team development
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Thermal Engineering
Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) License or First-Class Certification (mandatory in some regions)
10+ years of experience in steam plant operations, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or lead role
Proven experience managing large-scale industrial boiler plants (gas, oil, biomass, or cogeneration)
Deep knowledge of steam systems, thermodynamics, control systems, and pressure equipment
Proficiency with DCS/SCADA systems, maintenance management software (CMMS), and diagnostics tools
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilities
