We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Junior Steam Plant Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of steam plant systems. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for individuals with foundational knowledge of boiler and steam systems, looking to build a career in plant operations. You will assist senior personnel in monitoring equipment, ensuring safe and efficient steam generation, and maintaining operational logs and compliance standards.
Monitor the operation of steam boilers, auxiliary equipment, and control systems under supervision.
Assist in adjusting valves, gauges, and controls to regulate steam pressure and temperature.
Ensure proper functioning of feedwater systems, combustion controls, and condensate return systems.
Support routine inspection and basic maintenance of boilers, pumps, and piping systems.
Report abnormal equipment behavior to senior operators and help perform minor repairs.
Help maintain cleanliness and safety in boiler rooms and related facilities.
Follow established safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including emissions monitoring.
Participate in toolbox talks and basic safety training sessions.
Assist in maintaining operational logs, checklists, and inspection records.
Help document maintenance activities, downtime events, and operational parameters.
Work under the guidance of senior steam plant operators or engineers.
Coordinate with maintenance and utility teams for steam system support.
Actively participate in learning and development programs to enhance technical skills.
Assist in safe and reliable steam plant operations
Support basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
Learn and adhere to compliance and reporting standards
Work effectively within a team-oriented environment
Diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, or a related technical field
Boiler Attendant or Steam Plant Certification (preferred or in progress)
0–2 years of experience in industrial utility operations or mechanical plant environments (internship/apprenticeship experience accepted)
Basic understanding of steam systems, boilers, pumps, and valves
Eagerness to learn and apply technical and safety standards
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with mechanical tools and basic instrumentation (a plus)
