The Senior Spare Parts Coordinator leads the management and optimization of spare parts inventory for critical turbine components such as seals, gaskets, and control valves. This role ensures availability of parts to support maintenance, overhaul, and operational readiness, while maintaining compliance with quality, storage, and lifecycle standards. The coordinator also mentors junior staff, liaises with suppliers, and drives continuous improvement in spare parts logistics and documentation.
Lead monitoring and control of inventory levels for seals, gaskets, control valves, and related components to meet operational and project demands.
Analyze usage patterns and forecast spare parts requirements to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Oversee physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy in ERP/CMMS systems.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely purchase, quality compliance, and delivery of critical spare parts.
Manage supplier relationships for spare parts sourcing, including follow-up on order status, quality issues, and lead times.
Coordinate issuance of spare parts for maintenance and overhaul activities, prioritizing urgent requirements to minimize downtime.
Maintain comprehensive records of parts usage, returns, and transfers linked to maintenance work orders and projects.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of spare parts, adhering to OEM, API, and industry standards.
Monitor shelf-life and initiate timely replacement or reconditioning of parts subject to degradation.
Mentor and guide junior coordinators and support staff on spare parts management practices.
Identify and implement improvements in inventory control, documentation accuracy, and parts lifecycle management.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
Experience: 7+ years in spare parts coordination or inventory management, preferably within rotating equipment, power generation, or heavy industry
Skills:
Deep understanding of turbine component specifications and spare parts logistics
Proficiency in ERP/CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, Oracle) and MS Office
Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities
