The Junior Spare Parts Coordinator assists in managing the inventory and distribution of turbine spare parts, specifically seals, gaskets, and control valves. This role supports timely availability of critical components, helps maintain accurate records, and works closely with stores, procurement, and maintenance teams to facilitate smooth parts logistics within rotating equipment maintenance operations.
Help monitor stock levels of seals, gaskets, control valves, and related parts.
Support periodic stock-taking and update inventory records.
Assist in identifying parts requiring replenishment.
Support preparation of purchase requisitions and track orders.
Communicate with warehouse teams to confirm parts availability and delivery schedules.
Assist in receipt inspection and documentation for incoming parts.
Process requests for spare parts from maintenance teams.
Maintain logs of parts issued and returned, ensuring traceability.
Help update Bills of Materials (BoMs) and part catalogs.
Assist in verifying proper storage and preservation of seals, gaskets, and valves.
Learn and help implement shelf-life management and environmental controls.
Basic inventory monitoring and stock record maintenance for turbine seals, gaskets, and valves
Support procurement follow-up and warehouse coordination
Accurate documentation of parts issuance and returns
Understanding of preservation requirements for sensitive parts
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
Experience: 0–2 years in spare parts coordination, inventory control, or related area (internship or academic projects beneficial)
Skills:
Basic knowledge of mechanical components and spare parts terminology
Familiarity with MS Office and basic ERP/CMMS tools
Good communication and team collaboration skills
Detail-oriented with eagerness to learn spare parts management processes
