The Senior Skid System Supervisor leads and manages the full scope of modular skid assembly projects for water treatment systems, ensuring all mechanical, piping, and instrumentation components are fabricated, integrated, and commissioned to meet stringent industry standards (AWWA, ASME, ANSI) and client requirements. This senior role requires extensive technical knowledge, strategic planning, and leadership skills to coordinate multiple teams, manage complex schedules, and uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Oversee end-to-end skid system fabrication and assembly operations, including pre-fabrication planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
Lead coordination among engineering, QA/QC, procurement, and construction teams to align fabrication with project timelines and budgets.
Manage risk assessment, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives in the fabrication process.
Provide advanced technical guidance on complex skid assemblies, including structural framing, multi-material piping, valve manifolds, and instrumentation integration.
Ensure full compliance with AWWA standards (e.g., C200, C606), ASME B31.3, ANSI, and customer specifications.
Approve weld maps, NDE plans, hydrostatic testing protocols, and final quality documentation.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to fit-up, welding, and mechanical system integration.
Supervise and mentor multiple teams including supervisors, pipefitters, welders, and instrumentation technicians.
Develop training programs focused on safety, code compliance, and fabrication best practices.
Conduct performance reviews, implement corrective actions, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Champion safety culture through proactive hazard identification, incident investigation, and adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
Lead safety meetings, audits, and ensure that all fabrication activities follow LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures.
Drive initiatives to reduce accidents, improve ergonomics, and maintain a safe work environment.
