Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil/structural works from excavation to handover, ensuring compliance with Sharjah Municipality approvals, consultant specifications, and company HSE/quality standards. Deliver milestones on time while accounting for weather and traffic/logistics constraints typical in Sharjah.
Review IFC drawings, specs, and method statements; raise RFIs for conflicts/clarifications.
Develop look-ahead plans (2/4/12-week) aligned with programme, procurement, and inspections.
Verify builder’s work requirements, block-outs, sleeves, and embeds before pours/close-ups.
Supervise and set out earthworks, foundations, waterproofing, RC frame, masonry/blockwork, plaster, screeds, façade interfaces, and external works (curbs, interlock, ramps, drainage chambers).
Control formwork, rebar, and concreting (mix approvals, slump/temperature, cube tests, curing).
Coordinate with MEP/Finishes to avoid rework (fix-outs, penetrations, firestopping, levels).
Lead daily briefings with foremen/subcontractors; ensure manpower/plant productivity targets.
Implement ITP/Method Statements; prepare/close MIR/WIR with consultant.
Maintain inspection records, checklists, test reports (soil compaction, concrete, waterproofing flood tests).
Control tolerances (line/level/plumb, slab flatness, lippage) and rectify NCRs promptly.
Ensure approved materials, traceability, and protection of finished works.
Enforce permits and safe systems of work: lifting, working at height, hot works, confined spaces.
Coordinate with HSE for toolbox talks, barricading, housekeeping, and midday summer break compliance.
Plan access routes, lay-down areas, and segregation between plant and pedestrians.
Coordinate with Sharjah Municipality (Building Dept.) for inspections; interface with Civil Defense where structural firestopping/egress elements are affected.
Support PRO for SRTA/Police permits (road occupation, night deliveries, crane/lift plans).
Manage site traffic plans to minimize neighborhood disruption in mixed-use areas.
Update daily site reports, progress photos, as-built redlines, pour cards, and test logs.
Track quantities vs. BOQ; notify commercial team of variations.
Contribute to weekly progress reviews and recovery plans with Planning.
Heat & Humidity:
Schedule pours/waterproofing and moisture-sensitive works for early morning/evening; extend curing and protection; provide shading/hydration and enforce MOHRE midday break.
Dust/Sand:
Protect reinforcement and formwork surfaces; maintain dust control; anticipate cleaning before coatings/sealants.
Occasional Rain/Coastal Effects:
Plan roof/balcony waterproofing with realistic cure windows; secure materials against sudden showers; use corrosion-resistant fixings where needed.
Traffic & Access:
Arrange off-peak or night deliveries for rebar, concrete, and façade items; use banksmen and defined off-loading zones; maintain clear access for pumps/cranes; coordinate with schools/prayer-time congestion.
Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
5–8 years site experience (min 2+ years UAE/GCC), including low/mid-rise RC buildings.
Strong knowledge of RC detailing and construction tolerances; familiar with ACI/BS/EN practices as specified.
Proficient in AutoCAD, total station/leveling basics, MS Project/Primavera (read); competent with QA/QC documentation.
English required; Arabic an advantage.
Setting-out accuracy & constructability judgment
Sequence planning and multi-trade coordination
QA/QC rigor and problem-solving under time pressure
HSE leadership and site discipline
Clear communication with consultant/client and subcontractors
Milestones achieved to programme; minimal rework.
Zero critical NCRs; closure of minor NCRs within SLA.
Concrete test compliance (strength/temperature/slump) ≥ target.
Waterproofing/finishes snag rate within tolerance; first-time pass on key inspections.
No lost-time incidents; traffic and permit compliance 100%.
