The Junior Shuttering Helper supports shuttering carpenters in assembling and dismantling formwork used for casting concrete structures. This entry-level role includes preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting in handling tools and panels under supervision.
Assist shuttering carpenters in the erection and removal of formwork for columns, beams, slabs, and foundations.
Transport and organize materials such as timber, plywood, steel panels, and form ties.
Clean and prepare formwork panels for reuse.
Hold, align, and secure formwork components during installation.
Support in marking levels and aligning shuttering per carpenters’ instructions.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
Follow all site safety rules and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report damaged tools or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
Basic education; high school or vocational training preferred.
Physically fit and capable of manual labor for long durations.
Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively in a team.
Willingness to work in outdoor construction environments and varying weather.
No prior experience required, but construction site exposure is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials.
Safety training certification (if available).
