We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Senior Shutdown/Turnaround Supervisor – Boilers to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all boiler-related maintenance and inspection activities during major plant shutdowns and turnarounds. In this leadership role, you will ensure that all boiler scopes—such as inspections, repairs, replacements, and testing—are delivered safely, within budget, and on schedule. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, interface with contractors, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality and execution excellence in time-critical environments.
Develop and validate shutdown work scopes, timelines, manpower estimates, and resource plans specific to boiler systems and auxiliary equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, reliability, and planning teams during pre-shutdown preparation and planning phases.
Conduct site assessments, risk evaluations, and scope optimization workshops.
Identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks and interface risks across disciplines (e.g., scaffolding, insulation, electrical, instrumentation).
Lead field execution of boiler-related scopes, including pressure part replacements, welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), hydrotesting, refractory work, burner and valve overhauls, and structural modifications.
Supervise direct and contractor teams across multiple shifts, ensuring productivity and safety.
Monitor project milestones, critical path activities, and issue resolution.
Interface with QA/QC teams to ensure all inspection hold points, acceptance criteria, and code requirements are met.
Enforce compliance with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work, and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
Lead daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and hazard reviews.
Coordinate regulatory inspections and ensure boiler compliance with statutory standards (e.g., IBR, ASME, API).
Oversee and coordinate the performance of internal trades, third-party contractors, and OEM representatives.
Ensure the availability of tools, consumables, lifting gear, and spare parts through detailed execution planning.
Manage resource allocation based on progress, priority, and work front availability.
Provide daily execution reports, including job progress, productivity metrics, issues, and safety incidents.
Coordinate punch list completion, re-commissioning, and system handover to operations.
Participate in post-shutdown reviews, root cause analysis of delays, and lessons-learned documentation.
