We are seeking an experienced and organized Shutdown/Turnaround Supervisor – Boilers (Mid-Level) to oversee and execute boiler-related maintenance and inspection activities during plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major outages. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation in boiler systems, experience leading field teams, and a strong understanding of shutdown planning, safety, and execution. This role supports the successful, timely, and safe completion of boiler maintenance scopes in coordination with maintenance engineers, planners, and contractors.
Review and interpret work scopes, engineering drawings, and inspection checklists for boiler shutdown activities.
Assist the shutdown planner in defining job steps, manpower estimates, and resource requirements.
Participate in preparatory meetings, site walkdowns, and job hazard analysis (JHA) specific to boiler systems.
Coordinate pre-shutdown activities such as isolation procedures, permit planning, and staging of materials/tools.
Supervise teams performing boiler inspections, tube replacements, refractory repairs, burner servicing, valve overhauls, and pressure part cleaning.
Monitor field work for schedule adherence, technical accuracy, and safe execution.
Ensure compliance with confined space entry protocols, LOTO, hot work procedures, and other site-specific safety requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for weld inspections, hydrotesting, and post-repair validations.
Assign and supervise work fronts for in-house technicians and third-party contractors.
Ensure the availability of equipment, consumables, and spares during execution.
Facilitate coordination among mechanical, scaffolding, insulation, and rigging teams working in boiler areas.
Track daily progress, prepare shift reports, and communicate issues or delays to the turnaround coordinator or area manager.
Maintain documentation of work permits, inspection findings, job completions, and punch lists.
Support post-shutdown debriefs, lessons learned sessions, and continuous improvement efforts.

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, or a related technical field
Boiler Attendant Certificate (mandatory or actively pursuing)
Additional certifications in confined space, rigging, scaffolding, or permit-to-work systems preferred
4–7 years of experience in boiler maintenance, with at least 2 years involved in shutdown/turnaround projects
Experience supervising field teams in time-critical, high-compliance industrial environments
Proficient in boiler components (tubes, headers, drums, burners, valves, refractory systems)
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, job packages, and inspection procedures
Familiarity with plant safety standards, isolation plans, and LOTO protocols
Strong leadership and coordination abilities
Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
