Job Summary:
We are looking for a Sheet Metal Worker – Junior Level to join our production team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing and construction of sheet metal products. As a Junior Sheet Metal Worker, you will assist senior workers in cutting, bending, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components for various industrial applications. Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in Sheet Metal Fabrication:
- Assist in measuring, cutting, bending, and shaping sheet metal according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate basic sheet metal tools such as shears, brakes, presses, and hand tools under supervision.
- Help with the assembly and fitting of sheet metal components, ensuring proper alignment and joining of parts.
Learning and Skill Development:
- Learn the fundamentals of sheet metal work, including welding, riveting, and other joining methods.
- Gain experience in using industrial machinery such as CNC machines, laser cutters, and welding equipment as part of the fabrication process.
- Observe and assist senior sheet metal workers to understand different techniques and improve technical skills.
Quality Control and Inspection:
- Assist with inspecting and measuring finished components to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Help with testing and troubleshooting sheet metal products for defects or structural issues.
- Support in performing minor repairs and adjustments to finished components as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with sheet metal tools and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety practices when using equipment and handling materials.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in keeping track of work orders, materials used, and project progress to maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Report any issues or potential delays to the senior team to ensure project timelines are met.
- Help maintain inventory records for sheet metal materials and tools.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with senior sheet metal workers, machine operators, and other team members to complete assigned tasks effectively.
- Communicate clearly with team members and follow instructions to ensure high-quality work and efficiency.

Educational Requirements:

Experience:
- 1-2 years prior experience required; this is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or individuals with basic knowledge of hand tools and manufacturing processes.
- Any relevant internships, workshops, or hands-on projects related to mechanical systems, construction, or fabrication will be advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong interest in mechanical work and fabrication processes.
