We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Junior Turbine Engineer to support the design, operation, and maintenance of turbine systems, including gas turbines, steam turbines, or aero-derivative units. The role involves assisting in equipment evaluation, basic performance analysis, maintenance planning, and documentation under the supervision of senior engineering staff.
This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or early-career engineers seeking hands-on experience with turbomachinery and power generation equipment.
Assist in the review of turbine design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Provide support in evaluating turbine components such as blades, rotors, diaphragms, casings, and nozzles.
Participate in thermal and mechanical analysis under guidance (stress, temperature, creep, etc.).
Help monitor operational parameters such as pressure, temperature, vibration, and rotational speed.
Participate in routine inspection planning, startup/shutdown checks, and logging of performance data.
Support vibration checks, alignment verification, and other field tests.
Assist in gathering and interpreting diagnostic data for condition-based monitoring.
Participate in turbine inspection, disassembly, and reassembly during outages.
Help track maintenance schedules and ensure proper documentation of issues and repairs.
Maintain engineering records including component tracking, inspection reports, and material specifications.
Assist in generating work instructions, maintenance procedures, and technical reports.
Work closely with senior turbine engineers, operations teams, and OEM representatives.
Engage with cross-functional departments such as controls, piping, reliability, and project engineering.
Bachelorโs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
Courses in turbomachinery, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or heat transfer preferred.
0โ3 years of experience (internships or co-op in turbine systems or power plants is a plus).
Basic understanding of gas and/or steam turbine operation and components.
Familiarity with engineering software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, or MATLAB.
Exposure to vibration monitoring, thermodynamic cycle modeling, or rotating equipment diagnostics is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment
Effective communication and technical writing skills
Attention to detail and good documentation practices
