Job Title: Director/VP - Security Consultant

Job Summary

The Director or VP of Security Consulting plays a pivotal role in leading the overall security practice within the organization. This position is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and direction for the security team and its offerings. The successful candidate will manage teams, engage with clients, and develop high-level security strategies across multiple projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the security landscape to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of security innovation and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the security consulting practice’s strategy and vision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead large-scale, high-impact security projects and initiatives, overseeing their successful execution from inception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships at the executive level, ensuring high customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Set and enforce security policies, frameworks, and best practices across the organization to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.
  • Direct and mentor senior security consultants, fostering a culture of innovation, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives and other department heads to align security strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of complex security solutions tailored to meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements, showcasing expertise and thought leadership.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines effectively to ensure optimal delivery of security consulting services.
  • Continuously assess industry trends and emerging threats to adjust security strategies and maintain a proactive security posture.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Expertise in organizational security strategy and risk management at the enterprise level.
  • Deep understanding of information security, governance, compliance, and privacy laws.
  • Advanced knowledge of threat intelligence, incident response, and digital forensics.
  • Leadership and strategic management skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Executive-level certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CRISC, or MBA with a focus on cybersecurity).
  • Advanced training in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
