Install, test/commission, and hand over potable water, hot water/return, sanitary drainage/vent and stormwater pipework and fixtures to approved drawings/specifications and authority requirements—delivered safely, with first-time quality, and suited to Sharjah’s climate and site logistics.
Water Supply: PEX/HDPE/copper/CPVC distribution, risers, PRVs, isolation/balancing valves, water heaters (instant/central), hot water return.
Sanitary Drainage & Vent: uPVC/HDPE stacks, floor traps/drains, P-traps, cleanouts, venting/air admittance where specified, grease trap (if required).
Stormwater: roof/balcony drains, rainwater downpipes, gullies/soakaways or network tie-in.
Fixtures: WCs, EWCs, basins, urinals, showers, kitchen sinks, pantry/utility, hose bibs, washing machine & dishwasher points.
Ancillaries: pipe supports/hangers, acoustic/thermal insulation, sleeves/penetration firestopping, pipe identification/labels.
Interfaces: AC condensate drainage, pump rooms (break/booster), water meter room to SEWA standards.
Read IFC/shop drawings, schematics and builder’s-work drawings; confirm sleeves, cores, wall/floor set-outs, and levels; raise RFIs for conflicts.
Verify substrate readiness: waterproofing completed and protected in wet areas; check floor/terrace falls prior to drains.
Coordinate with Electrical for heater/pump power; with Finishes for tile levels and fixture centers; with Fire & Life Safety where penetrations pass through rated barriers.
Install water supply lines (PEX/HDPE/CPVC/copper) with correct jointing (press, crimp, solvent, brazed), support spacing, expansion loops/anchors, and valve orientation.
Install sanitary/storm stacks in uPVC/HDPE with graded falls (typically 1–2% to fixtures; larger bore to spec), vent connections, cleanouts at changes of direction/intervals, and acoustic measures where required.
Provide firestopping and sleeves at all penetrations; maintain separation from electrical and hot elements; apply pipe ID/flow direction labeling.
Fix and align WCs, basins, showers, floor drains, traps and accessories to datum lines and tile grids; ensure watertight trap/connector joints.
Install water heaters with safe tray/drain, PRV, check valves and dielectric unions; insulate hot water/return lines.
Set balcony/terrace drain grates flush and ensure weep/overflow provisions as detailed.
Hydrostatic tests on supply pipework; air/water leak tests on drainage; document pressure/hold durations.
Flush and chlorinate potable lines; record residual levels and water quality results.
Balance hot water return, set PRVs, verify flows/pressures at fixtures; perform dye tests for wet rooms/terraces as directed.
Update redline as-builts and submit T&C sheets for consultant/authority sign-off.
Work to approved method statements and ITPs; raise MIR/WIR for inspections.
Keep daily logs, material/batch records, test certificates, and photo documentation for concealed works.
Protect finished fixtures/pipework; hand over O&M inputs (filter/valve lists, maintenance intervals).
During DLP, perform periodic inspections: strainers, valves, PRVs, heater anodes, leak checks, trap seals/primers, roof drain clearing; close snags promptly.
Follow permits for pressure testing, hot-work (if brazing), and confined spaces (tanks/manholes).
Use PPE; maintain tidy work fronts; manage chemical handling for chlorination (MSDS).
Safe ladder/MEWP use in shafts/risers; proper lifting/handling of pipe bundles and heaters.
Heat & Humidity:
Schedule roof/terrace, pump-room and outdoor works early morning/evening; comply with MOHRE summer midday break.
Account for thermal expansion on long runs; protect insulation from UV; expect longer cure times for sealants/adhesives.
Keep chlorination tanks/chemicals shaded; avoid testing on overheated pipes that can skew readings.
Dust/Sand:
Cap open pipes; keep traps and valves free of grit; flush lines before T&C; protect threads and seals during storage and installation.
Occasional Rain/Coastal Influence:
Check roof/balcony drainage capacity and overflow routes; weatherproof penetrations; use corrosion-resistant fixings where specified; inspect manholes after rain before backfill/reinstatement.
Traffic & Logistics:
Plan off-peak deliveries for pipe bundles/heaters/pumps; arrange SRTA/Police permits if road occupation or crane lifts are needed.
Stage materials close to work fronts without overloading slabs; keep egress/inspection routes clear.
