Job Summary
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will lead technical engagements for our most strategic and complex opportunities. You’ll partner with sales leadership to architect solutions, drive proof-of-concepts, and influence product roadmaps. You will also mentor and enable junior engineers to raise the team’s overall technical proficiency.
Strategic Technical Leadership
Own technical strategy for high-value deals, guiding discovery sessions and solution architecture.
Shape and execute POCs, reference architectures, and pilot programs that demonstrate clear ROI.
Complex Deal Support
Navigate multi-stakeholder negotiations on technical terms, security requirements, and integration scopes.
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Professional Services to structure viable commercial and support proposals.
Solution Architecture & Documentation
Produce detailed architecture diagrams, integration blueprints, and deployment plans tailored to each customer.
Author advanced whitepapers, case studies, and best-practice guides for both internal and external audiences.
Cross-Functional Influence
Relay field feedback and competitive insights to Product Management, driving product enhancements and roadmap priorities.
Partner with Customer Success and Professional Services to ensure seamless handoffs and successful implementations.
Mentorship & Enablement
Coach and train junior and mid-level sales engineers—lead technical workshops, develop playbooks, and conduct ride-along sessions.
Champion continuous learning by organizing brown-bag sessions on emerging technologies and sales methodologies.
Thought Leadership & External Representation
Represent the company at industry conferences, webinars, and customer advisory boards as a subject-matter expert.
Contribute to blog posts, technical webinars, and community events to elevate our market positioning.
Experience: 5–8 years in pre-sales engineering, solutions consulting, or technical sales, with a record of closing $1 M+ deals.
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of enterprise architectures (cloud, on-prem, hybrid), APIs, security frameworks, and data integrations.
Hands-on with scripting (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) and experience configuring complex environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Pro, CISSP, PMP).
Executive Presence: Engages C-level stakeholders with credibility and business acumen.
Architectural Vision: Designs scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions for complex enterprise needs.
Influence & Negotiation: Balances technical constraints, commercial terms, and customer expectations effectively.
Mentorship: Inspires and elevates the skills of less-experienced team members.
Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced environments and pivots quickly as technology evolves.
