Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Engineering Manager to lead our team of sales engineers. In this role, you will oversee the technical sales process, manage a team of sales engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive revenue growth. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning technical solutions with customer needs and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of sales engineers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide professional development opportunities.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement technical sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with customer requirements.
Customer Engagement and Solution Design:
Engage with key clients to understand their technical needs, provide tailored solutions, and build long-term relationships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product development and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence product enhancements.
Coordinate with marketing to develop materials that highlight technical features and benefits, supporting sales initiatives.
Operational Management:
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales engineering efforts, providing insights to senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
5–7 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
Proven track record of leading technical sales teams and achieving revenue growth.
Strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
Strong technical acumen and the ability to grasp complex product details quickly.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
