Job Title: Sales Engineering Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Engineering Manager to lead our team of sales engineers. In this role, you will oversee the technical sales process, manage a team of sales engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive revenue growth. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning technical solutions with customer needs and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of sales engineers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

    • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide professional development opportunities.

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement technical sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.

    • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with customer requirements.

  • Customer Engagement and Solution Design:

    • Engage with key clients to understand their technical needs, provide tailored solutions, and build long-term relationships.

     

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with product development and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence product enhancements.

    • Coordinate with marketing to develop materials that highlight technical features and benefits, supporting sales initiatives.

  • Operational Management:

    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales engineering efforts, providing insights to senior management.

     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 5–7 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.

  • Proven track record of leading technical sales teams and achieving revenue growth.

  • Strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to grasp complex product details quickly.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
