Job Title: Fresher - SQL Developer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Fresher SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SQL, relational database management systems (RDBMS), and query optimization techniques. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SQL queries, database structures, and stored procedures while working closely with software developers and data analysts to support business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers
- Design and maintain relational database structures ensuring data integrity and normalization
- Assist in query performance tuning, indexing, and optimization techniques
- Support database integration with applications and troubleshoot data-related issues
- Implement data security and access control mechanisms
- Develop and maintain database documentation, schemas, and ER diagrams
- Assist in database backup, recovery, and maintenance procedures
- Work with developers to integrate back-end databases with front-end applications
- Stay updated with SQL best practices, emerging database technologies, and optimization techniques
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle)
- Understanding of database design principles, normalization, and indexing
- Knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views
- Familiarity with query performance optimization techniques
- Basic understanding of database security principles (authentication, encryption, access control)
- Experience with database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), MySQL Workbench, or pgAdmin
- Understanding of database backup and recovery strategies
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab) (optional)
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Certifications in SQL, Database Development, or Cloud Databases are a plus
Experience:
- 0-1 year of experience in SQL development or database management
- Academic projects, internships, or hands-on SQL practice preferred
