The Rotating Machinery Supervisor (Mid-Level) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the maintenance and reliability of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, motors, gearboxes, turbines, and fans. This role requires a solid foundation in mechanical systems, proven experience in managing day-to-day maintenance activities, and the ability to support continuous improvement in equipment reliability. The supervisor ensures the safe and efficient execution of tasks and serves as a technical resource for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Maintenance Supervision:
Plan and oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of rotating machinery.
Allocate daily tasks to mechanical technicians and contractors; monitor work progress and quality.
Ensure all work is executed according to maintenance procedures, safety standards, and OEM guidelines.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
Diagnose mechanical failures in pumps, compressors, and other rotating assets using sound engineering principles and tools.
Support alignment, balancing, and overhaul activities.
Work closely with predictive maintenance teams for vibration analysis and condition-based maintenance.
Work Planning & Documentation:
Review and prepare job plans, scope of work, and material requests in coordination with planners.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the CMMS (SAP, Maximo, etc.).
Assist in spare parts inventory checks and requisitions.
Team Leadership & Development:
Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Lead toolbox talks and participate in risk assessments.
Reliability & Improvement Initiatives:
Support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for chronic or critical failures.
Recommend improvements to maintenance practices, schedules, and equipment upgrades.
Participate in turnaround planning, equipment health assessments, and reliability studies.
Mechanical Integrity of Rotating Assets:
Ensure safe and reliable operation of pumps, compressors, motors, turbines, and gearboxes.
Maintenance Execution & Supervision:
Plan, lead, and supervise mechanical maintenance tasks with attention to safety and quality.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve mechanical faults, misalignment, unbalance, seal issues, and bearing failures.
Coordination with Reliability Programs:
